As many of you know, Mike used to be the Executive Director of Iowa Citizen Action Network, a community organizing-based organization working on middle-class statewide issues in Iowa. I have very special news in that ICAN is honoring Mike with the first ever Mike Lux Political Strategist Award, to be presented this year by Mike to Brad Lint, the Executive Director of the Iowa Association for Justice.

The event, as part of ICAN’s 30th Anniversary celebration, will take place this Saturday, March 28th in Johnston, Iowa outside Des Moines. Rep. Bruce Braley and Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie will also be honored. You can find all the details and how to buy tickets by clicking here.

The Book Shop on Locust Street in Des Moines will be selling copies of The Progressive Revolution at the event.

On Tuesday, March 24th, Mike will be returning to his hometown of Lincoln, NE to celebrate the release of The Progressive Revolution. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln welcomes Mike to speak on campus about The Progressive Revolution, the latest news from DC, and prospects for change in the next several years. A reception will follow in the campus bookstore, where copies of The Progressive Revolution will be available for sale and signing.
