On Thursday, May 14, at 8 pm, Mike will be joining Traction along with any and all who would like to drink liberally with fellow progressives. Mike will be discussing themes from his new book, The Progressive Revolution, along with the past, present, and future of the progressive movement, and current happenings in Washington DC. Look below for more details, and we look forward to having you there!
While we were out in Colorado late last month, we sat down in Denver with Swing Vote Magazine, an online magazine of approximately 50,000 subscribers covering politics, community, culture and more in the state of Colorado. The magazine was recently credentialed for the 2008 Democratic National Convention as well.
Each week the magazine does an interview with a political or community leader, and Mike is featured as the cover story for the May 5th edition, including a full-length interview.
In order to access the story, click here, then click “Go” at the bottom of the page. You can then either get a subcription to the magazine or a free day pass in the bottom right corner.
Update: Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA), Darcy Burner now with the American Progressive Caucus Policy Foundation, and Stephanie Taylor, also with the PCCC, will also be speaking. Fantastic lineup.
On Tuesday, June 2nd, Mike will be speaking on the “Winning Progressively” panel with Adam Green of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee at America’s Future Now conference (formerly Take Back America). Other panelists will be announced soon.
Details about the panel, including how to register for the conference, are available here.
On Wednesday, May 6, Mike will be in Austin, TX at Book People discussing his new book, The Progressive Revolution: How the Best in America Came to Be. Check out below for details, and we look forward to seeing you there!
We saw Howie Klein, one of Mike’s and my favorite bloggers, who write sat DownWithTyranny! at our Book Soup event in West Hollywood last Friday, and he wrote up a summary of the discussion and Mike’s central “progressive versus conservative” argument. He also adds a good historical discussion in the context of progressive history. You can take a look here (and he includes awesome pictures to spice it up).
On Wednesday, May 13, Mike will be in Raleigh, North Carolina as the guest of NC Policy Watch for their Crucial Conversation series. He will be discussing his new book, The Progressive Revolution: How the Best in America Came to Be, over lunch at the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh. Look below for details:
