On Sunday, July 19th, Mike will be speaking in Portland, OR at a roundtable discussion with Steve Novick, former candidate for U.S. Senate, and Carla Axtman, netroots director for Merkley for Oregon, Blue Oregon fellow and online community builder for Compassion and Choices. They’ll be discussing creating Big Change Moments and harnessing the power of the grassroots and netroots to do so. The event is sponsored by the Oregon Bus Project.

During Mike’s California swing, he appeared on the KUSI morning show. Below is the video from that appearance.

We saw Howie Klein, one of Mike’s and my favorite bloggers, who write sat DownWithTyranny! at our Book Soup event in West Hollywood last Friday, and he wrote up a summary of the discussion and Mike’s central “progressive versus conservative” argument. He also adds a good historical discussion in the context of progressive history. You can take a look here (and he includes awesome pictures to spice it up).

On Wednesday, May 13, Mike will be in  Raleigh, North Carolina as the guest of NC Policy Watch for their Crucial Conversation series.  He will be discussing his new book, The Progressive Revolution: How the Best in America Came to Be, over lunch at the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh.  Look below for details:
